Supporting LGBTIQA+ people

The Victims of Crime Helpline aims to provide a service that is safe, inclusive, and affirming for LGBTIQA+ community members.

At Victim Services, Support and Reform (VSSR) we value diversity, inclusion, and social justice. We are committed to treating people of all cultures, ethnicities, gender identities, bodily diversities, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, and religions with dignity and respect.

When you access VSSR programs or services, you can be confident we will provide a service that is safe, inclusive, and affirming for LGBTIQA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex, queer, and questioning) community members.

VSSR programs and services are informed by Victoria’s first whole-of-government LGBTIQA+ strategy, Pride in our future: Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ strategy 2022-32. The strategy provides the vision and plan to drive equality and inclusion for Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ communities within all aspects of government work.

What this means for you

When you access VSSR programs or services, you can be confident we will provide a service that is safe, inclusive, and affirming for LGBTIQA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex, queer, and questioning) community members.
